I got called "sad and pathetic" the other day. By a girl. It was okay, because she's a friend, but still. Just because I am sad and pathetic doesn't mean I want to hear about it. Jerk.

Well, I thought my interview with National Instruments on Tuesday went well. They'll let me know in about 3 weeks if they have an opening. If they do, then I get to go down to Austin, Texas for the summer. If they don't, then I guess it's more begging for me. I applied to a couple of summer computer camps here on campus as a worst-case scenario. If that doesn't work out, then my worst-worst case scenario is to get a job back home. Which I really don't want to do.

Also, Local News 4 did a special on dorm security a day or two ago. They made a big deal because they were able to sneak a hidden camera into the dorm by following a student in. Whoop-de-friggin'-do. If they want to report on dangerous living conditions, they should have mentioned the elevators. Half of them are shut down, and riding the other two is like riding in a snowglobe, the damn things jolt up and down so much. Today one of them was bouncing so hard the door wouldn't close. Stupid crappy elevators. Stupid crappy south quad. I can't wait until next year. The house I'll be in has a dungeon. Well, it's actually more like an unfinished basement. But still, it's totally awesome.
